Graeme’s world changed in 2000 when as a joint Managing Director of an Executive Search Division of a recruitment company, Graeme experienced a mental breakdown resulting in him being out of the workforce for 6 years.
He emerged from the crisis with a very different view about how we can build resilience and mood to thrive in times of change.
In 2007, he launched his first book, Back from the Brink which former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair commented “…is a brave book that will certainly help remove stigma, and provides real hope and practical help”.
In 2009, Graeme worked with Gavin Larkin and a small team to launch R U OK? Which is one of his proudest achievements. A program that encourages us all to reach out to someone we are concerned with and ask Are You OK?
In this interview, Graeme and I discuss how having a mentally healthy workplace culture impacts on productivity and performance.
