How do you Use Format Painter in Word 365?
The format painter is a three step process.
- Highlight the text with the formatting attributes you want to copy.
- Click the Format Painter icon, it looks like a paintbrush on the Home tab to copy the current text formatting.
- Locate and highlight the text you want to apply the copied formatting to.
Amazing… the formatting from the selected text is applied to the new text….
Bonus Tip: To keep applying the selected formatting to multiple locations in your document, double-click the Format Painter icon at the start. Keep “painting” the formatting till you are done! Then simply click the Format Painter icon or press the Esc key on the keyboard to switch the Format Painter off.
